Dave Rops and Lindsey Weaver

Dave Rops and Lindsey Weaver, Upper School Mathematics, International School of Prague.

David Rops has been teaching Mathematics for over 20 years. He has taught Mathematics in the Dominican Republic, Singapore, Germany and most recently the Czech Republic. He has previously taught AP Calculus and Statistics and IB SL Mathematics. Currently David teaches IB HL Mathematics and an integrated grade nine Mathematics at the International School of Prague. David has presented at ECIS in 2013 on Flipped Instruction and also on the use of video to enhance learning within the mathematics classroom. Most recently David has enhanced student learning with student collaboration using large whiteboards within the mathematics classroom.

Lindsey Weaver is an IB and upper-school mathematics teacher at the International School of Prague (ISP). Originally from Minnesota, Lindsey has taught in a variety of settings: Denver School of the Arts in Colorado, The American School in Japan, Sturgis "IB for All" Charter School in Massachusetts, and most recently ISP. She earned her undergraduate degree at Luther College, located in Decorah, Iowa and her master's from St. Mary's University located in Minnesota. Her master's thesis explored the feasibility of making the IBDP more accessible to Minneapolis metropolitan students. Lindsey has a deep love of coaching, and spends her summers working her family's summer volleyball camps located on the college campuses of St. Olaf and Macalester in Minnesota.
