Krista D. Ramsay

Krista D. Ramsay is a passionate advocate for Outdoor Learning for students of all ages.

She has been teaching internationally for eleven years, and is currently the Early Years Curriculum Support Leader, Early Years PE Teacher, and Lower School Art Teacher at the International School of Helsinki, Finland. Prior to working in Helsinki, she spent eight years teaching in Asia, including four years at the United Nations International School of Hanoi.

She loves working in an inquiry-driven environment and sharing the joys of learning with her students. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Forests Schools, she strives to inspire teachers to see past their classroom walls and take the learning outdoors. Her message is Outdoor Learning can be done anywhere, from taking clipboards outdoors for Mathematics to spending six hours a day outside in a national park.
