Elizabeth Phillips

Elizabeth Phillips – The International School of Latvia

Elizabeth Phillips is the PreK-12 Curriculum Coordinator at the International School of Latvia, where she has also been the IB Middle Years Program Coordinator as well as a middle and high school teacher.

Knowing that a life in education was her calling, Elizabeth received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston, focusing on middle level education. As a passionate career educator, Elizabeth spent seven years in the South Carolina public schools teaching middle school social studies. During her time working in South Carolina, she participated in statewide assessment research projects and initiatives, led various district professional learning workshops, and served as a teacher leader in her schools.

Chasing the dream to expand her career internationally, she moved to teach in Lebanon and most recently, Latvia. She earned her M.Ed in International Education Administration from Endicott College. Elizabeth's enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and assessment is evident as the pedagogical leader of her school, firmly believing intentional, thoughtful assessment empowers learners.
