Teaching Mathematics - Five Critical Learning Experiences by Ban Har Yeap

In this one-day course, we examine five learning experiences that promote deep learning in mathematics.

Using topics across grade levels, we will experience and discuss each of these experiences - explore, structure, journal, reflect, practise.

We will also examine their theoretical underpinnings.

Ban Har Yeap

Ban Har worked for a decade at Singapore's sole teacher education institute, National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University until 2010.

Currently, he is the principal of Marshall Cavendish Institute, a professional development institute for teachers as well as Director of Curriculum and Professional Development at Pathlight School in Singapore and Academic Director at Anglo Singapore International School in Thailand.

He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics education and M.A. in Southeast Asian Studies and M.Ed.
